| Bad Intentions | I think using this site for a message board or draft would be harder than I thought originally. Most of my other leagues have gone to either Discord or Group.IO. Some other leagues are going to us the yahoo fantasy email or the yahoo chat but I see that getting messy. The chat is one big long chain of communication with no organization and mine isn't even work right now for some reason. The email will get ugly because I have sent out multiple league why emails in a different league and some teams aren't getting the emails, like it's random on who it picks gets the email and doesn't, very odd. Just my 2 cents. |
|
| Savoy Special | It doesn't have a thread format so one message can be replied to, it's just single messages. Would get messy with different topics. |
|
| Savoy Special | If we need a message board, there's one right here. It's not as convenient as having it right with our Yahoo site, and I'd imagine several managers wouldn't regularly read here, but it seems like the best option if we stay with the yahoos over at Yahoo! |

| Blue Collar Rednecks | Here are the rules regarding Prospects: Prospects do not have to be rostered until they reach one of the following: A) 75 career MLB at bats, or B) 50 IP or 15 total appearances at pitcher (whichever comes first). Players who have not yet reached those totals FOR THEIR CAREERS must be kept on your prospect roster until you add them to your Yahoo team. Prospects who reach those limits and have not been placed on your Yahoo roster become free agents. If a player reaches their prospect limits, a manager has 7 days to put them in their lineup. Further rules at the bottom of this post about NA's. RULES for NA players: Once you have promoted a player to your Yahoo roster, you cannot move him back to your prospect list UNLESS HE BECOMES N/A until the off season. If a player under those limits becomes N/A during the season, you have the option of moving him back to your prospect list and do not have to promote him again until he reaches the career limits. N/A over the career limits cannot be moved back to your prospect roster. Reminder from 2014 Season: I have added 5 NA slots on your MLB roster. This will give you the ability to add a potential 5 extra players to you prospect roster. Here is the twist, when the next season begins you will only be able to select 26 guys to keep and you can only have 15 guys on your Prospect Roster so you will need to plan and prepare accordingly. Anyone drafted in the 1st year player draft is protected until 21 days after the season starts. At that point they should be NA or on a ML roster. So at 21 days they will fall under the Prospect rules. This applies to 1st year draft players only! This will be the rule regarding prospects from this time forth. If there are objections, please send me an email, BUT do not just tell me you dislike it. Give me a solution. 1. Any player not in the Yahoo System AND is signed to a Major League Baseball (not Japan, Cuba, etc) contract is deemed a prospect. Any prospect drops and adds must be recorded under the Forums_Transactions tab. This goes for ANY trades made during the off-season and any trades involving prospects or draft picks made in season. I would also like everyone to update their Major League rosters on the Off-Season site at the end of the the season. This will help for making off-season trades. I would also like everyone to take a moment and update their contact info. If you do not feel comfortable posting it there, please send me an email so that I make sure I have it and can keep in touch with you. If you have any questions, please let me know. Here is the website again: IMPORTANT: Please remember that any player who does NOT have a current MLB/Minor league contract by the start of our prospect draft, cannot be picked up until the next seasons prospect draft. http://www.boysofsummer.co/diamonds. |

| MN Snow Dawgs | I am moving Will Middlebrooks to my active roster to free up a prospect slot. I added him to my roster on this site and dropped him from prospect roster. I have since re-added him just so he appears on the prospect list and no one wastes a draft pick thinking he's available. |

Both of the new teams are in this lottery. | Blue Collar Rednecks | Here is the information for the Prospect Draft. The draft starts tonight at: There will be a 24 hour clock. If Managers start taking too long consistently, then I will move it up to 12. Those available for this draft are players that were drafted in the 2010 Amatuer Baseball Draft, player that signed a contract with a MLB team after last years prospect draft started (ie Leslie Anderson of the Rays), or any player that is considered a prospect by our rules that is not on another players roster. If you have any questions, please let me know. Here is the process for making your Draft selection, no exceptions. (Order does not matter, but your selection need to be made in all three places) For drafted players you do NOT need to post your picks in the Forum tab. If one of the spots is not filled out I will send you an email to remind you. If you do not fill out the missing area with in 24 hours, I will post a message to you on Yahoo. If another 24 hours goes by and nothing has happened I will send an email and post a message on Yahoo with a FINAL warning. Once that next 24 hours has passed, if no action was taken, that player is removed from that team and can be drafted by anyone. I am doing this because I want to avoid any possible issues or arguements later. Basically you have 3 days to make sure your roster is up to date. If you draft a player who is currently in Yahoo's DB, he is subject to our current prospect rules. All Prospect roster must be at a maximum limit by April 15th. This gives you 2 weeks to make decisions. I hope this all makes sense. If you have question let me know. Here is the link to the 2010 Amatuer Draft Page (Yahoo will put a random space when you try to copy links, so make sure when you past the link there is no extra spaces): http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/events/draft/y2010/ Good Luck! |

| Blue Collar Rednecks | Hello Fellas, I just wanted to address a few things. First off, congratulations and good luck to all of you who made the playoffs! Second, prospects. In the past we have had a rule that protects prospects that are put into the yahoo system after September 1st. This is no longer valid. With the way that we have our prospects now, this is no longer needed. ANY prospect who reaches his limits, at any time, must be placed on your roster no later then the 7th day after he achieved that milestone. Third, Off-Season site. This has not been stated to this point, so the past is the past and I don't care about it. From this point forward please follow these directions. Here is the website again: http://www.boysofsummer.us/diamonds. Last, it is with sadness that we say goodbye to one of our managers. Sin City Mob has decided to step down. I appreciate him joining us this year. If anyone wants to throw out some feelers and see if they can recruit someone to take control of that team, please let me know. Jim |

| Blue Collar Rednecks | Manglers brought up a good point. It is not clear how long managers have once limits are hit. If a player reaches their prospect limits, a manager has 7 days to put them in their lineup. |

| Blue Collar Rednecks | Since the season is upon us and in an effort to clarify the rules regarding prospects. Here they are hopefully in a more user friendly way: Prospects do not have to be rostered until they reach one of the following: A) 75 career MLB at bats, or B) 50 IP or 15 total appearances at pitcher (whichever comes first). Players who have not yet reached those totals FOR THEIR CAREERS must be kept on your prospect roster until you add them to your Yahoo team.
